First look at new iPhone 3G
May 30, 2009
Here’s a first look at the new iPhone 3G (left) compared to the previous model. The main differences are its matte casing and back-lit Apple logo. Plus, it looks slightly thinner, but that may just be wishful thinking.
I don’t know if this is going to be its final appearance, but I certainly hope it is. In fact, if it’s real I wish that’s some kind of black rubber.
Pioneer Offers “Works with iPhone” A/V Receivers
May 29, 2009
I have several iPod accessories around the house and each time I dock my iPhone I get that wonderful “this accessory is not iPod compatible” message. That little message means you can’t place calls while the iPhone is docked in the accessory, but I assume calls will still come in. I haven’t had that happen yet.
Pioneer has announced a new A/V receiver series that are certified to work with the iPhone and iPod touch. The receiver models include the VSX-819AH, VSX-919AH, and VSX-1019AH receivers. Users can plug their iPhone or iPod into the receivers and use the full-color GUI to browse album art and control music playback from across the room with the A/V receiver remote.

iPhone Light Dimmer Switch
November 13, 2008

Lutron, the company who rolled out the magical dimmer switch all the way back in the 1960s has proved that they are able to move on with the times, showing off a new lighting system that takes advantage of your iPhone or iPod Touch, allowing you to take full control of lights in the home.
The lamps will have to be fitted with Luton’s wireless modules prior to that of course. You are required to fork out for the wireless modules but the application itself is free. You as a user, don’t you wish it was the other way round instead?

Vuzix is a well known name when it comes to video eyewear, and this time they have made inroads into Europe with two new releases – the AV310 and the AV230XL.Both are worn just like a pair of glasses, and for obvious reasons, should be used only when you’re seated at home.
It is the first video headset of its kind that boasts a full 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, with the AV310 offering the equivalent of a 52″ display while the AV230XL offers a much smaller 44″ display experience when worn.

MacBook Air
November 11, 2008

Upgrades to the new MacBook Air include: a “new mini DisplayPort plug to replace that totally oddball microDVI plug and integrated graphics (NVIDIA 9400M).”
Shocking, we know. Booting is a snap (25 seconds in informal testing) with that new 128GB SSD, the computer runs cool and core-shut-down-free, can handle full HD video, and outputs to external monitors without a problem.

MacBook Nano
November 11, 2008

If Apple were to unveil a MacBook Nano, a Netbook of sorts, this is what it might look like. Unfortunately, these “come from some kind of shady outlet selling retrofitted MSI U100 laptops made to look like shiny Apple notebooks with Mac OS X installed.”
